Unsacred Hearts Review Round-Up

Unsacred Hearts - In Defense Of Fort Useless

We really love the Unsacred Hearts‘ recently released album, In Defense Of Fort Useless. And we’re not the only ones. Here’s what others have been saying:

The PhiLL(er):

The record notes the newish garage rock sound, but draws mostly from earlier punk and garage rock stylings. In other words, as compared to recently popular rock bands, guitars fuller sounding, drums quieter, and singer less prone to narcissistic note holding or screaming.

Smother:

These guys would suggest that a loud amp and a nice fat distortion pedal are the only true cures to a blistering hangover; after hearing their argument throughout “In Defense of Fort Useless” I’d tend to have to agree.

Your Standard Life:

Yeah, Unsacred Hearts rock. They will have you up all night lamenting to your whiskey-soaked soul your hearts desires. That is what sets this NYC band apart. That word, soul. As much as they channel The Clash and GBV, there is also an underlying Dylan and some gut-wrenching blues fighting to get out. I hear their live shows are not to be missed so if you get a chance, don’t hesitate.

Good stuff.
