Abigail Warchild plays straight-ahead, heavy-hitting rock. There’s perhaps a certain grungy edge to their music, but they’re no early nineties Seattle kickback. They’re doing their own thing and they’re doing it extremely well. They put on one hell of a live show at last weekend’s Hot Rocks Party at The Delancey. Here are some photos, with more available on Flickr:
Abigail Warchild will be playing the ASCAP showcase in Austin during SXSW on March 12th. They’ll be back in Brooklyn, playing at Matchless on March 29th and at Luna Lounge on April 26th. Check out their MySpace for more info.
The next Hot Rocks Party is Saturday, April 5th at The Dalancey and features El Jezel, Rowboats, and Zero Spanish.
