Photos: The Antlers at Union Hall
We finally caught The Antlers last night at Union Hall for the first time. With vocals that were sometimes reminiscent of Jeff Buckley (a comparison we may or may not have drawn on our own if Matt from Music Slut hadn’t mentioned it before the set started, who knows?) and music filled with thoughtfully played drones and hits built around well-composed song structures, they’re definitely a band to pay attention to. And we’ll definitely be seeing them again in the future.
Here are a few photos from the show, with more available on Flickr:
The Antlers are playing tonight at Knitting Factory tonight with Black Atlantic, Spanish Prisoners, and City Center before hitting the road some in the next few days and again in December.

I’ve seen this guy and his band…he’s going to make it big time. Terrific melody driven and heady sound.
