ABOUT
StereoactiveNYC is:
… a listing of NYC bands that’s been around in some form or other since early 2003. The guys who started the site also wrote the news section for the print edition ofThe Deli Magazine from its launch in late 2004, as well as occasional reviews and feature articles.
StereoactiveNYC is not:
…a free-for-all. We don’t list every band that has a show. We focus on bands we have seen live. Then, if we have time, we turn our attention to other bands we like that, for one reason or another, we just haven’t been able to see yet.
Booking
We often get involved with booking. We have co-sponsored shows with The Deli Magazine and the late Beg Yr Pardon. We also used to book all the bands for Hot Rocks. We often sponsor album release parties, listening parties, and, when we can, try to help bands we know set up shows with out of town bands.
