Fugazi Covers Project: Musicians Wanted

May 15th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Posted in gold streets, man in gray, recording, zero spanish

Christina DaCosta (whom you may know from Man In Gray), Phil Rosenbloom, Jeffry Opdyke, and Michael Sowiski have formed a team called “The Rims” that will be participating in a 275 mile bike tour called Braking The Cycle that will take place to benefit HIV/AIDS services provided by the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City.

To help raise money for their team’s efforts, the Rims are organizing a Fugazi covers project that has been given the full blessing of the seminal punk band. Anyone can participate and to to do so, all you have to do is get in touch with the group through the project’s website:

For more information about the project, visit their FAQ and to see which songs have already been claimed, go here. We already see a number of local musicians taking part, including Gold Streets, Cholo, and members of Zero Spanish and The Song Corporation.
